Applying to Become a Regis Knight

A completed application consists of:

  1. Online application
  2. Application Fee
  3. School Records
  4. Teacher Recommendation Form
  5. Admissions Testing Results
  6. Shadow Visit

When all application components are submitted, the student file is reviewed and notifications are mailed in March. After the first round of notifications, we will continue to accept applications as space is available.

Application Checklist by Division

Early Childhood (3 Pre-K through 4 Pre-K)

Due by February 1

  • Completed Application
  • $100 application fee (made payable to The Regis School) due at time of application.

Due by March 1

  • Admission testing
    • The Gesell Developmental Observation Inventory is administered to our 3 Pre-Kindergarten and 4 Pre-Kindergarten applicants. This test is administered by individually scheduled appointment.
  • Completed Teacher Recommendation Form (if currently attending a preschool)
    • A completed Teacher Recommendation Form is required for all applicants currently attending a preschool. Please remember to include a stamped envelope addressed to The Regis School when you deliver the recommendation form to your current school. The form must be mailed by the teacher or school directly to The Regis School.
  • Birth Certificate
    • A child applying to 3 Pre-Kindergarten must be three years old by September 1 of the applied for year. A child applying to 4 Pre-Kindergarten must be four years old by September 1 of the applied for year.
  • Baptismal Certificate (if baptized in the Catholic church)

All items may be submitted online (if applicable), by e-mail to Beth Schneider, Director of Admissions or by U.S. mail to The Regis School of the Sacred Heart, Attention: Director of Admissions.

Lower School (Kindergarten through Fourth Grade)

Due by February 1

  • Completed Application
  • $100 application fee (made payable to The Regis School) due at time of application.

Due by March 1

  • Admissions testing
    • Admissions testing for entering kindergarteners through fourth graders is administered by CATS (Collaborative Academic Testing Service). Please contact them directly at www.catstexas.com to schedule a testing session. Testing results will be sent directly to The Regis School.
  • Completed Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Release of Records Form
  • Student visit
    • Students applying for Kindergarten through fourth grade are required to visit our school. In this way, your son has an opportunity to experience our community. Applicants are paired up with a “Regis Buddy” to help him maneuver through his day. This visit also gives Regis an opportunity to meet your son and to get to know him in our school setting. All students must have a completed Medical Form on file with the Admissions Office before their school visit.
  • Birth Certificate
    • A child applying to Kindergarten must be five years old by September 1 of the applied for year. A child applying to first grade must be six years old by September 1 of the applied for year.
  • Baptismal Certificate (if baptized in the Catholic Church)

Middle School (Fifth through Eighth Grade)

Due by February 1

  • Completed Application
  • $100 application fee (made payable to The Regis School) due at time of application.

Due by March 1

  • Admissions testing
  • Completed Teacher Recommendation Form
  • Release of Records Form
  • Student visit
    • Students applying for fifth through eighth grades are required to visit our school, which gives your son an opportunity to experience our community. Applicants will be paired up with a “Regis Buddy” to help him maneuver through his day. This visit also gives Regis the opportunity to meet your son and to get to know him in our school setting.
    • All students must have a completed Medical Form on file with the Admissions office before their school visit.
