Welcome to The Regis School Library!
Early Childhood Online Resources
Lower School Online Resources
Middle School Online Resources
The Regis School community is served by two libraries. Students in Early Childhood come weekly to their own library located near their classrooms in the Milestones Building to listen to stories, participate in activities, and choose books of interest to them. The Lower/Upper School Library is located in the Kelley Building where elementary and middle school students are scheduled to share topical lessons and may also read or research on their own. The flexible use policy encourages students to visit the library as needed throughout the school day as well as before and after school.
The library strives to be the heart of the School by supporting the curriculum with a broad collection of books and resources that enhance students’ reading interests. The goal is to provide students with the skills and resources that will encourage their intellectual curiosity and love of reading. The Regis School Library serves our school community with a quality, balanced collection of print and electronic resources in order to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information enabling them to be lifelong learners, researchers, and readers. The Texas Bluebonnet reading program, opportunities to visit with authors and storytellers, the hosting of annual book fairs are among the many ways in which boys are encouraged and motivated to be readers.
With three computers dedicated for patron use, Regis students have access to a wealth of information from online databases to which we subscribe. These resources include periodicals, books, full text articles, primary documents, encyclopedias, almanacs, and maps. Promethean Active Board technology in the library enhances student and teacher interaction.
If you have any questions regarding the library, please contact our librarian, Laura Luong. |
