Regis Boys Spell Out Spirit

The Regis School celebrated Catholic School Week’s Spirit Day with a spelling bee on January 30 in St. Joseph’s Hall.  The fierce competition concluded with two young scholars the victors of this annual contest.  Fourth-grader Santiago Gonzalez won in the third- through fifth-grade division with the word “magazine” in the 10th round.  Eighth-grader Sterling Paulsen lasted 13 rounds in the middle school division and won with “expertise.”  Both will continue on to compete at the Archdiocesan Spelling Bee on February 21 at the St. Dominic Center.
