Each time, our volunteers lend their helping hands, they assist in building our community. Their creative talents, endless hours, and tireless efforts contribute to the well being of our school and help us grow in countless ways. We are indebted to them. There is a volunteer opportunity for everyone because the success of our school is everyone’s business.
Be a Part of a Great Community
Join the Parents’ Association!
At Regis, the Parents’ Association (PA) plays an integral role in supporting the fourth Goal of the Sacred Heart - the building of community as a Christian value. The PA sponsors special events, provides cultural and program enrichment for the students, promotes specific fundraising efforts, donates gifts to the School, and supports outreach efforts of the administration. We hope you will help put this Goal into action and set an example to your son(s) by joining the Parents’ Association and volunteering your time to enrich the school’s community.
First, we strive to be a source of information, communication and support to all parents. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend PA meetings during the year. Class Coordinators (formerly “room parents”) are the backbone of this communication process. In addition, the PA provides parent education “brown bag” events concerning academic and/or social development issues.
Central to our mission is the cultural enrichment programs that we organize, staff and support. Through events such as International Week, Go Texan Day, Field Day, and the Art a la Carte program, the PA provides unique, exciting, educational experiences for our sons.
The Parents’ Association also promotes specific fundraising efforts such as the Annual Auction whose proceeds go directly to the operating budget of the school. In addition, the PA raises funds for the Regis Scholarship Program through spring events, including the Archdiocesan Steps for Students 5K/1K.
With 24 Committees in place, there are opportunities for everyone to be involved! It is your chance to contribute to the building of community and the ongoing development of a great school.
