Guest Blog Post – The "Why" Behind Our Welcome Wednesday Tours

Throughout this school year, we will feature guest bloggers to share different perspectives on or experiences with Sacred Heart education on our Head of School blog. Our next guest blogger is Kiran Ali, Director of Admission & Enrollment Management.

Finding the “best fit” for your child’s academic career can be overwhelming – in the independent school arena, there are recommendation and testing submissions, application deadlines, shadow days, interviews, and the list could go on and on. As an Admissions team, we understand that maximizing our time with you is what will help determine “best fit” for your family. One way in which we do this at Regis is by hosting Welcome Wednesdays throughout the fall and winter months! We are thrilled to welcome you onto our campus and hear about your interests for your son. We want to introduce you to our Student Ambassadors and Parent Ambassador Network all while touring you around our boy-centered campus. To start your morning, you will enjoy a welcome from our Head of School, Mr. Steven R. Turner Jr., as well as hear from a panel of our students as they share The Regis Experience with you.

On Welcome Wednesdays, we open the doors to our Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School classrooms to highlight the learning journey of our young scholars. Each tour is tailored to the specific division you are interested in learning about. Spending the morning on campus will give you a glimpse of Regis’ best practices in boys’ education. You may see our active learning furniture in action or our students playing outside with their teachers at break. Perhaps you’ll see our middle school students engineering a project with our 3D printer or maybe you’ll be lucky enough to peek into the world of a Pre-K MakerSpace class. One thing is for certain—you'll be able to engage in one-on-one conversations with our students about their experience at Regis.

We encourage you to attend a Welcome Wednesday, as our time together is more personalized in this unique setting. We tailor our small-group conversation and tour to your individual needs and interests. Get a jump start on the admissions process and join us on a Wednesday morning in November or January! Be sure to bring your questions just in case our tour checklist doesn’t cover all that you desire to know about The Regis School of the Sacred Heart.

We believe in admitting students and families who will benefit from our inclusive community and our unique approach to all-boys education. We hope you will inquire about becoming a Regis Knight—sign up for a Welcome Wednesday tour today!
