Applying to Regis

Step One

Step Two

Completed Teacher Recommendation Form (if currently attending a preschool): The form must be mailed or emailed by the teacher or school directly to Regis.  Email to jlahad@theregisschool.org or mail to Jen Lahad at The Regis School of the Sacred Heart, 7330 Westview Drive, Houston, Texas 77055.

If your child is not currently enrolled in preschool or Mother's Day Out, please send an email to jlahad@theregisschool.org to have this requirement waived.

Pre-K4 candidates must take the WPPSI (Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence). The report will be sent directly to Regis. Please schedule through CATS Texas.

Birth Certificate: a child applying to Pre-K3 must be three years old by July 1 of the applied for year. A child applying to Pre-K4 must be four years old by July 1 of the applied for year. Students applying for Early Childhood must be fully potty trained prior to the start of the school year.

Baptismal Certificate (if baptized in the Catholic church)

Student Visit: all Pre-K applicants are expected to attend a small group screening. The visit is held in a Pre-K classroom for all same-age applicants and lasts approximately an hour. Early Childhood Screening will be Saturday, February 8, 2025. Please save the date and additional information will follow. All applicants must have a completed emergency contact form and an updated immunization record on file with the Admissions office before their school visit.

• Admissions testing: WPPSI/WISC test results are required for Kindergarten through Fourth Grade applicants. Regis applicants will take the WPPSI/WISC administered by CATS, Collaborative Academic Testing Services. Please select Regis as a preferred school when you register for the test. Scores will need to be submitted before February 1.

  • First Through Fourth Grade Teacher Recommendation Form
• Transcript from Current School (Grades K-8)
• Student visit
  • All Lower School applicants are expected to attend a small group screening. The visit will be held in a Lower School classroom for all same-age applicants and lasts approximately an hour. All applicants must have a completed emergency contact form and an updated immunization record on file with the Office of Admission before their school visit.

• Admissions Testing: Fifth through Eighth Grade applicants are required to take the ISEE {school code: 447571}. There are opportunities for applicants to take these exams at home or through a Prometric testing site.
