Early Childhood Athletics
The Regis School of the Sacred Heart early childhood athletics program emphasizes participation and skill development for all pre-kindergarten students. Daily classes and recess allow these young boys regular opportunities to run and play outside the classroom.
Regis offers daily thirty minute physical education classes for all early childhood students. The class focus is on improving gross motor skills, coordination, and learning games and skills.
Co-curricular Team Sports
Regis offers the following co-curricular team sports for 4 Pre-K students only:
- Soccer (Fall)
- T-ball (Spring)
In Regis co-curricular sports, students are exposed to organized athletics through recreational-style games. Learning basic skills, the rules of the games, and good sportsmanship are the goals for these young student-athletes. The weekly early childhood team schedule typically consists of one weekday practice and one game on Saturdays.
Games are played against fellow schools and churches in the West Houston Christian Sports Association (WHCSA).
