Lower School Athletics
Good Sportsmanship, Collaboration, and Physical Development
The athletics program in Lower School provides opportunities for boys in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade to participate in school-sponsored athletics teams. All boys who wish to participate are welcomed onto a parent volunteer-led team. Lower School athletics focus on the development and formation of the Five Sacred Heart Goals in each player. Boys learn how to approach competition with passion, grace, and humility; how to work as part of a team; and how to practice good sportsmanship.
The program in Lower School emphasizes physical, mental, and social development for athletes and coaches alike. Each player has the opportunity to develop his self-esteem in a fun, collaborative and competitive environment. The program at this level also allows for equal playing time for all athletes.
Team Sports
At Regis, students are exposed to organized athletics through recreational-style games. Learning basic skills, the rules of the games, and good sportsmanship are the goals for these young student-athletes. Regis' Lower School Athletics Director will contact parents during the school year with information on how to register your son for Co-curricular Team Sports.
