Auction & Gala

At the All-Star Knights Auction & Gala, the Regis community came together and rallied in support of a homerun-worthy initiative to further enrich areas of campus that help foster student achievement, support community programming, strengthen safety efforts, and more. 
The funds donated to Paddles Up 2024 provided the following improvements to ensure Regis students receive the high-quality educational and campus life experience they deserve:

• A gate in the breezeway between our main athletics field and the Kelley Building
• Upgrades to the Miller Family Student Life Center projector
• Installation of a more efficient entrance gate and motor
• Upgrades to the athletics field and gym, including the scoreboard

The success of Paddles Up 2023 allows us to say goodbye to those muddy uniforms, as we will be installing artificial turf on our beloved Regis playground. Each year, grass had been planted on four separate occasions, and you can imagine at a school for boys, within two weeks, the grass is largely gone. At Regis, we stress the importance of recess and movement for the boys, but when there is any sort of rain, the playground is often off-limits all day due to our hallways being caked with mud, just like the boys’ clothes. The turf project will allow for water to drain quickly after the rain stops and maximize our ability to get the boys back outside to the playground.

But this isn’t just a playground issue. This is a school pride issue. The turf project will bring our campus to life and give us aesthetically pleasing grounds of which we can be proud.

Reading and Technology Improvements

Paddles Up 2022 provided the opportunity to foster our boys’ imaginations by supporting both reading and technology at Regis. 

The expansion of our classroom libraries in Lower School plays a key role in continuing to provide access to books and promote literacy. These libraries will further our student's journey towards becoming critical thinkers, analytical readers and informed citizens.

New technology tools will be added to Regis Lower and Middle School classrooms to engage students in expanding their imagination through the design thinking process. Through a growing curriculum centered on engineering and design challenges, these new technology experiences will further spark the imagination, curiosity and creativity of our Regis boys as they gain invaluable skills to impact their future world. 

The funds donated will purchase: 

• Over 4,500 books that will be added to the Kindergarten – fourth grade Classroom Libraries
• A Classroom Library Tools & Resource Pack for each Lower School teacher to help them access the deeper levels of instruction built into the curated libraries; book level labels, book bin cards and student-sticky note pads
• Cabinetry and bins that will house the books
• Curriculum updates to our Kindergarten – second grade reading programming, including the books and materials that aid in teaching blending, decoding and phonemic awareness
• Additional 3D printers to allow for a higher volume of printing to bring students’ 3D creations to life
• Robotics kits for the newly founded Middle School Robotics Club
• Headphones for each boy in Lower School
• Additional age-appropriate robots and other technology for the Lower School MakerSpace
