Regis Grandparents
Grandparents play an important role in the Regis community.
Throughout the school year, grandparents have the opportunity to engage in all-community events and dedicated grandparent events such as Grandparents' Day. Whether you are near or far, there are opportunities for you to tune-in virtually for masses throughout the school year. Your support of your grandson's Sacred Heart education plays a critical role in his Regis Experience.
Love the children; do what you can for them and God will do the rest.” Mary Aloysia Hardey, rscj
Grandparents’ Day
Each fall, Regis students welcome their grandparents or special guests to campus for an in-person visit. Our Regis Knights look forward to sharing the campus with their beloved grandparents, offering a glimpse into their school lives and classrooms and introducing their teachers and classmates. In addition to touring classrooms, visitors on this special day will join their grandsons in The Miller Family Student Life Center for a special prayer service celebrating the important role grandparents play in their grandson's life.
A Letter from The Regis Fund Grandparent Chairs
George & Fay Rizzo with grandson Calvin M. (Regis Class of 2024)
Dear Regis Grandparents,
Fay and I became members of the Regis family eight years ago when our grandson started kindergarten, though we were familiar with the value and unique qualities of a Sacred Heart education. We saw first-hand the virtues exemplified by our daughters and how the experience benefited them during their education and adult lives.
The years our boys spend at Regis are particularly formative, and we are proud to say that Regis delivered on its mission of providing a Catholic education paired with excellent academics and personal refinement that empowers them to become lifelong scholars and authentic, compassionate leaders. As our grandson enters eighth grade, the concepts of faith, respect for intellect, empathy for others, value of community, and personal growth have made a mark on him and his entire class.
In keeping with this year's theme for The Regis Fund – Gratitude for Growth – we are grateful to have our grandson at Regis. We are grateful because we have seen him grow into a young man who is thoughtful and considerate of others.
As you may know, tuition alone does not fully cover all the needs of our school community. We commit to The Regis Fund because it affords the enriched academic, spiritual, social, artistic, and athletic experiences that are so loved by our grandson and unique to Regis. We value the learning experience and the focus on all five Sacred Heart Goals. The Regis Fund also provides the necessary support to ensure academic excellence, maintain small-class sizes, recruit and retain top-level teachers, invest in faculty and staff professional development, improve our growing campus, enhance student activities, and more.
The Regis Fund's five-week effort is underway and will conclude on Friday, September 29. Please join us and show your gratitude today by giving to The Regis Fund. Your gift directly supports our students, teachers, and staff as they continue to embody and deliver The Regis
Experience.
Sincerely,
Fay and George Rizzo
